How it Works: Load and Spin Design
Each g-TUBE contains an engineered shearing orifice. When g-TUBE is centrifuged the DNA sample is forced through the orifice and the DNA is subjected to controlled shearing forces. Fragment size is selected by setting the centrifugation speed. Sample volume is 150ul. Tube Size is 11 x 45mm

Reproducibility
18 samples of 150ul of Lambda DNA (50ug/ml) was fragmented to 10kbp.
g-TUBES were processed in an Eppendorf Minispin plus centrifuge at 8000 rpm for 60 seconds for both cycles.
Selectable Fragment Length
150ul of Lambda was fragmented with g-TUBEs.
Results are from a 0.5% agarose gel and from a 12k Agilent chip on a 2100 Bioanalyzer (lower insert). RPM values are for an Eppendorf MiniSpin plus centrifuge.
